- The Atlantic Philanthropies define their purpose as being to bring about lasting changes in the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people. The four main programme fields to which The Atlantic Philanthropies work are ageing, disadvantaged children & youth, health of populations in developing countries, and reconciliation & human rights.

- Community Foundation for Northern Ireland, The
- The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland works to support people, strengthen communities and build peace in the divided communities of Northern Ireland. It is non-partisan, non-sectarian and has no political affiliations and is therefore in the unique position of being able to work across all the divisions within society in Northern Ireland.

- Irish Youth Foundation
- The Irish Youth Foundation was founded in 1985 as an independent charitable trust, dedicated exclusively to meeting the needs of disadvantaged children and young people. Each year, approximately 10,000 children from around the country benefit from work carried out by groups funded by the Irish Youth Foundation in areas such as homelessness, substance abuse, poverty and social education.

- Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust, The
- The JRCT was set up in 1904 by Joseph Rowntree, a Quaker businessman, and makes grants for projects which fit with the Trust's concerns. The Trust agrees and publishes its policies, and then invites people to apply for grants. While the success rate varies, typically about one in seven applications is successful. The JRCT is one of Britain's larger trusts. Currently, about 170-200 grants are made each year.

- Set up in 2004, the One Foundation is an Irish foundation based in Dublin, funding charitable causes both in Ireland and the developing world. They operate to the philanthropic principle of 'giving while living', their founder being involved in all decisions. Over the next ten years the One Foundation intends to fully distribute all their resources.

- St. Stephen’s Green Trust
- Established in 1992, the St. Stephen's Green Trust exists to make a positive contribution, through grant aid and advisory services, to charitable projects and initiatives that aim to tackle the issues of poverty, social exclusion, disability, discrimination, racism and injustice in Ireland.
The Trustees meet four times a year to assess applications. Grants made are in the region of €500 to €15,000.

- Vodafone Ireland Foundation (VIF) is a registered charity which maximises Vodafone Ireland's social investment in its most valuable assets - its customers, employees, suppliers and investors. It seeks to do this through supporting projects of Irish charities registered by the Irish Revenue Commissioners. VIF believes that it can make the most significant difference by providing support to projects that have the ultimate aim of being sustainable.
